1. What This Reference Is
Walnut Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections concerning Walnut, California, and Los Angeles County. It does not host government files and is not connected with the City of Walnut, any county or state office, a court, a library, or another records custodian.
2. Lawful Use Rules
Use the pages only in a lawful way. You may not use the reference or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency
The reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Information on these pages, and information returned by an outside search tool, is not a consumer report. It must not be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. Linked Services
County, city, court, state, library, archive, and sponsored search links lead to services controlled by other parties. Their terms, availability, prices, content, and data practices are their responsibility. A link does not mean Walnut Residents Directory endorses or controls the destination.
5. No Warranty
The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a statement is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will function or return a correct result. Records change and custodians may revise their procedures.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or an outside resource. This includes a decision made from a record or result reached through the reference.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.
8. Copyright and Layout
The original writing, design, logo, layout, and organization of these pages are protected by copyright. A person may link to a page or quote a short excerpt with attribution. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not permitted.
9. Revisions
New terms may be posted when the service or its practices change. Continued use after the revised text appears constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Access Restrictions
The operators may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms, abuses the service, threatens its security, or uses it unlawfully. A restriction may take effect without advance notice.
11. California Law
California law governs these terms without applying its conflict-of-law rules. The California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following, governs requests to the public agencies that hold responsive records; it does not make Walnut Residents Directory a custodian and does not override specialized privacy statutes. California's consumer privacy rules are in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following.
12. Severability
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only as needed, and the remaining terms will continue in effect.
